Chapel Belles

The Chapel Belles is the women's ministry of the Presbyterian Chapel of the Lakes. Begun in 1985, the Chapel Belles charter states:

We, the women of the Presbyterian Chapel of the Lakes, commit ourselves to enrich our spiritual life through the study of scripture and prayer. Our mission is to reach out into the community to serve whatever needs it with the youth, adults, or other community needs. We wish to celebrate our gifts of ministry through our lives within this Presbyterian church with God's guidance.

The Chapel Belles meet the second Monday of each month, from April to December. The annual fundraiser for the Chapel Belles is the 4th of July Ice Cream Social and Chicken BBQ, held each year on the first Saturday in July.

From the proceeds of this fundraiser, the Chapel Belles give away about $2,500 annually to local mission causes, such as Turning Point Shelter, Project HELP, the Well Child Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, Women in Transition, All God's Children Preschool Scholarship Fund, and the Chapel's Samaritan Fund.
